Monthly Maintenance Program

Maintenance Quote »Following the initial spring clean-up, your property will be scheduled for the PorterBrook monthly maintenance program. This service is designed to keep your property looking its best throughout the growing season and save you money by ensuring that minor landscape issues do not become major repair or replacement problems. We want your investment in your landscape to not only give you many hours of enjoyment but also be an increasing asset for your home real-estate value.

During the course of each of our monthly visits, we’ll provide the following services:

  • Ornamental beds will be checked for unwanted weed growth and proper treatment or removal will be done.
  • Mulch areas that may have been washed out due to sudden or excessive rainfall will be repaired.
  • Ornamental beds may need to be edged and redefined.
  • Pruning of small ornamental trees and shrubs in the beds will be done selectively to improve aesthetics. The preferred method of pruning is done by hand, not shearing. Many plants have been sheared to a shape over the years and may not be able to be turned around to create a more natural shape. In these cases and at your request, we will be happy to evaluate the situation, make recommendations and replace the plant.
  • During the course of the year, typically between mid-May and mid-June, we will provide you with and plant three flats of annual flowers (45 plants) to give your property a splash of spring color.
  • In the late summer/early fall we will provide and plant six flowering plants to brighten up the landscape.
  • In the fall we will also plant a series of spring blooming bulbs in and around the landscape that will give you a colorful springtime bloom for many years to come.

Please note:

Our annual monthly maintenance program will be automatically billed to the credit card of your choice. Pricing is based on the size of the property area being cared for with average monthly costs being $135-$165. Due to the variation of property needs, the Spring Cleanup and the Fall Clean-up services are billed at time (labor) plus materials.

Should you wish us to plant any extra flowers, bulbs, trees of shrubs that are in addition to the annual maintenance program, we will be happy to accommodate you. You will be invoiced for labor cost at $65 per man-hour plus the cost of the extra materials.
